Who We Are
- Srilata Gundala, M.D.
“I see my job as being the 'quarterback' of care by securing everything possible for the care of my patients.”— Srilata Gundala, M.D.
(In practice since 2007)
I'm committed to doing everything I can to make my patients more comfortable – physically and emotionally – by leveraging the best evidence-based approaches and comprehensive care available.
In addition to treating each of my patients, I feel that it's important to understand how they learn and respond, so that they can partner with their families and make the most informed decisions about their care.
Elmhurst Hematology Oncology Associates shares this perspective and is dedicated to treating each patient as a whole by focusing on the mind, body and spirit.
Though a portion of my job is spent educating the people that I see, it is my patients who have taught me the most important lesson of all: that there is more than one way to beat cancer – and that the human spirit is more resilient than the human body.
Nothing inspires me more than treating both.
